I recently attended a local writing circle where Houston Book Publisher shared insights about the evolving role of book publishers. Writers spoke about finding the right guidance for editing, cover design, and reaching readers. It made me curious about the influence publishers have on a book’s voice and success. Do they merely facilitate the process, or do they actively shape the stories that reach the public? How much control should authors have versus publishers in crafting a book’s final form?
