To reset your AirPods before connecting them to a MacBook, put both AirPods in their charging case and wait 30 seconds with it closed. Open the lid and hold the setup button on the back for about 15 seconds. The status light will flash from amber to white, indicating the reset worked. On your MacBook, go to the Bluetooth settings, choose your AirPods from the list, and follow the pairing steps.
